Targeting systemic fraud through media engagement and driving legislative reform for the EU biofuels sector.

This multi-channel media campaign was designed to expose systemic fraud and accelerate a crucial but complex legislative reform within the EU biofuels sector. The core challenge was translating the intricate policy and regulatory vision of the sector into clear, compelling, and actionable visual narratives that could resonate with political stakeholders and the wider public.
The strategy utilises a dynamic media engagement approach. This included a comprehensive PR effort with both pro-active press releases to drive the narrative and providing timely re-active statements to be in the conversations that are already happening. We also arranged placement for a targeted op-ed (paid) to have a “Q&A” format in a high-impact media outlet, fully controlling the message.
The traditional media approach was complemented by a sustained social media push under the hashtag #StopBiofuelsFraud. The campaign achieved immediate traction, evidenced by strong post interaction and adding over 200 new corporate followers within the first 30 days. This unified strategy successfully amplified the call for policy change.
